Karla Patricia Angara Veluz brings a practical business-side perspective to her work in labor and employment, corporate compliance, and dispute resolution. Before entering private practice, she handled human resources and corporate governance responsibilities within a private corporation, giving her firsthand experience with the legal and operational issues that employers manage in day-to-day business.
Before joining AJA Law, Karla served as HR Director and Corporate Secretary of a private corporation. Her work covered employment policies, regulatory filings, employee discipline, corporate housekeeping, and other internal compliance matters. This experience allows her to approach legal issues with an understanding of both the applicable rules and how they affect actual workplace and business operations.
Karla earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines College of Law, where she received the Elizabeth Aguiling-Pangalangan Prize for Best Paper in Children’s Rights.
At AJA Law, Karla works on civil, criminal, and administrative disputes while also assisting corporate clients with contract review, employment matters, and internal compliance. Her background allows her to bring an operational and people-focused perspective to matters that require both legal analysis and practical implementation.
Outside the office, Karla enjoys attending small venue gigs, discovering new restaurants, and spending time at the gym.
